The Sixth Round of the Trofeo Maserati will be in Spain

(pressrelations) - Modena (I), 15 September 2010 ? The Spanish round in Valencia can hardly decide the name or names of the Trofeo Maserati GranTurismo MC winners. Now at the sixth round of the Maserati championship, a lot of things can still happen. Despite a positive result for the leading duo of Goldstein/Sundberg in Oschersleben, their advantage over their closest rival is slight: 66 points against Zumerle?s 62.

It will probably all be decided in the last round on 10 October in Mugello, Italy. There?s an intense battle for third place between Paolo Necchi (with 50 points; he was one of the winners in Germany), Sergio Rota (47 points), Venezuelan Gaetano Ardagna Pérez (43) and Emanuele Smurra (41). These will certainly be four exciting races where drivers will fight until the last turn. And it?s not unlikely that some other driver may come into the picture among the contenders to the cup.

Meanwhile, Sicart will defend his top role in the GT4 classification.

There will be two media cars competing in Spain. Two Spanish journalists will be at the wheel: Jaime Hernández from El Mundo and Fernando Gómez Blanco from Automóvil magazine.

As in all the other circuits, during this round Maserati will once again host a series of initiatives for its customers: brand and product range promotional activities and marketing.

Eurosport will broadcast highlights of the Maserati championship on Sunday evening, September 19, within the Motorsports Weekend show (7.30pm GMT), in addition to airing an in-depth summary of the two races on Thursday, 23 September on Eurosport 2 from 6pm to 6.30pm GMT.

Video clips will be posted and made available after the day of the race on www.thenewsmarket.comand www.maseraticorse.com, where in-depth accounts of the races and interviews to all the drivers will be published.

RMC (Radio Monte Carlo) is the Trofeo?s Media Partner. It is dedicating reports for every round, included in the weekly RMC Motori program and in the RMC Music Sports (at 1:30pm GMT) show on Sunday.

The Valencia round schedule:
Free practices: Friday from 9.45 am to 10.25 am and from 1.00 pm to 1.40 pm GMT.
Qualifying races: Saturday from 3.00 pm to 3.20 pm and from 3.40 pm to 4.00 pm GMT
Races: Sunday from 9.15 am to 9.55 am and from 3.15 pm to 3.55 pm GMT
