Logistics. One: Würth Industrie Service redefines industrial parts supply
Connected Logistics. All in one: Software, products and system solutions!

(PresseBox) - Supply of parts to industrial companies is increasingly under significant economic and structural pressure. Increasing supplier complexity, volatile requirements, shortage of skilled labour as well as the growing importance of stable and transparent supply chains are pushing traditional supply models to their limits. At the same time, companies are asking for higher efficiency, more resilience and better manageability in their internal logistics processes to an ever greater extent. Against this brackdrop, Würth Industrie Service is unveiling a new, end?to?end concept for the future-oriented supply of parts.
With Logistics. One, Würth Industrie Service brings together all important elements of parts supply in a clearly structured solution. Physical supply systems, intelligent software solutions and a comprehensive product range are systematically coordinated and combined into an integrated overall concept. The aim isto design supply of parts as a seamless process that can flexibly adapt to varying requirements and be used reliably over the long term.
The concept is based on a holistic view of supply processes. In many industrial companies, logistics processes have evolved with time and are therefore divided into separate systems and areas of responsibility. Logistics. One ties these elements together within an integrated structure, creating a continuous view of requirements, inventories and material flows. The foundation is a product portfolio of more than1.4 million items, covering both direct and indirect requirements. In addition to these classic Würth components, third-party parts, special and drawing parts as well as customer-specific items, can be flexibly integrated. Internal logistics processes such as milk runs are also fully mapped within the system.
At the core of Logistics. One is the close integration of three levels: physical supply systems such as RFID Kanban, powerful software for monitoring and analysis as well as the integrated product portfolio. By combining these elements, a consistent supply system that increases transparency and simplifies processes is created. Requirements are reported digitally and in real time, material movements are documented and can be traced within the system, and processes can be standardised while still being tailored to specific customer needs.
A key feature of Logistics. One is the high level of flexibility offered by the concept. The solution is designed as an open system and is not limited to specific product groups or suppliers. Existing ERP systems can be connected via standardised interfaces. The software solutions used are independent of the hardware and enable rapid implementation without complex project phases. In this way, Würth Industrie Service supports companies in further developing their existing structures and gradually integrating new requirements.
Supply to the last meter: Final Meter.
As an essential component of Logistics. One, Final Meter extends supply of parts directly into production areas. The final stage of material supply is still managed manually in many production environments and requires considerable time and has limited transparency. Final Meter digitalises this area through system-supported demand reporting and guided logistics processes, enabling end-to-end monitoring of material flows directly within production. Production employees report empty bins digitally in the system, while logistics employees receive clear picking instructions, prioritised routes and complete information on items, quantities and destination workstations via mobile applications.
The technical foundation is provided by the Final Meter software and the associated app, which guide logistics employees in a structured, step-by-step manner through picking and delivery processes. Additional technologies such as Pick-by-Light systems and scanners are used to ensure safe and error-free picking. Stationary systems enable fast item searches and the handling of additional internal logistics tasks. Thanks to its modular design, the individual system components can be flexibly combined, adapted to existing customer processes, and expanded step by step as needed– for example with automated picking or transport solutions.
The digitalisation of the“Final Meter” creates end-to-end transparency right up to the workstation. Search times, unnecessary walking distances and manual coordination efforts are reduced, while processes are clearly structured and fully traceable. At the same time, the solution offers a high degree of flexibilityin process design and creates the foundation for further automation. Final Meter therefore helps significantly in stabilising material supply, prevents production interruptions caused by missing materials, relieves employees of routine tasks and sustainably increases efficiency in production and logistics.
miSelf– The flexible software solution for ALL parts
Logistics. One is complemented by miSELF, a web-based software solution for managing all parts outside the Würth product portfolio. The solution enables companies to independently manage items and bins and organise replenishment according to their own processes. Requirements are determined automatically in combination with the RFID infrastructure, while procurement and supplier management remain the responsibility of the customer. miSELF is therefore particularly suitable for companies that value flexibility and independent control.
With Logistics. One, Würth Industrie Service is pursuing a strategic approach aimed at redefining industrial parts supply as an integrated part of the value chain. The concept is designed to systematically overcome structural weaknesses in the existing supply solutions and to create processes for supply of parts thatare stable, transparent and scalable over the long term. Through end-to-end digitalisation and the close integration of all supply levels, operational complexity is reduced, processes are consolidated, and the foundation for reliable and controllable supply is established.
Logistics. One therefore represents the sustainable development of industrial logistics structures. Würth Industrie Service is positioning itself not as a supplier of individual products or systems, but as a holistic digital partner supporting companies in the strategic development of their supply of parts. This approach follows a clear principle: think supply in an integrated way, simplify processes, and deliver solutions from a single source – with a focus on today’s requirements and future developments.
