News Facts
Enabling organizations to achieve better spend tracking, enforce supplier compliance and streamline the procurement process, Oracle today announced Oracle® Supplier Lifecycle Management and Oracle Supplier Hub of the Oracle Master Data Management suite. Both are part of the Oracle E-Business Suite.
Oracle Supplier Lifecycle Management is the supplier development application that transforms qualification, administration, and assessment. The product delivers the following capabilities:
Streamlines registration and review of prospective suppliers with web-based self-service registration, advanced evaluation and scoring, and configurable approvals management.
Enables cross-functional performance evaluation by supporting templatized questionnaires, flexible feedback mechanisms, and visibility into archived supplier appraisals.
Promotes effective governance and risk mitigation with extensible profile management, risk driven supplier segmentation, and ability to integrate with third-party supplier information services.
Oracle Supplier Hub is the master data application that unifies and shares critical information about an organization's supply base. The product enables customers to:
Consolidate supplier information with flexible data import formats across heterogeneous systems, advanced attributes and relationships models, and configurable rules governing a ?golden? supplier record.
Cleanse and enrich supplier information with embedded data-quality tools, fuzzy matching de-duplication and intelligent merge, and integration to third-party data sources such as D B.
Share supplier information across silos with comprehensive business events, syndication and federation services, and real-time message delivery.
Oracle worked with Patni Computer Systems, a Gold level partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, to design and develop the Oracle Supplier Hub and Oracle Supplier Lifecycle Management 12.1.2.

Supporting Quotes
"Managing supplier relationships and information can be an extremely time consuming and expensive process," said Jason Busch, Principal Analyst at Spend Matters. "Few organizations have access to accurate and complete supplier information. This limits their ability to rapidly implement cost reduction programs and also increases supply risk. Yet leading organizations that invest the time to define the right supplier management processes and support their approach with underlying technologies that drive visibility, automation and compliance stand to realize new value across their entire source-to-pay and supply chain processes."
"Oracle?s supplier management solutions are a direct response to increasing customer concerns about mitigating risk in the supply base,? said Nagaraj Srinivasan, Vice President, Oracle Supply Chain and Procurement Applications Development. "These products can help dramatically simplify all aspects of supplier relationship management ?from cradle to grave ? thus providing a 360 degree view of suppliers and allowing rapid time to value.?
"We were pleased to contribute to the delivery of Oracle?s new supplier management solutions and to help ensure that the products included key customer insights,? said Samvit Raina, Senior Vice President, Patni Computer Systems. "Our deep understanding of procurement business processes coupled with the knowledge of these latest offerings will also enable us to quickly and effectively deploy the products for our joint customers.?
