Enabling customers to save time and money through rapid application deployment, Oracle today announced availability of Oracle® VM Templates for the Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle?s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Oracle's PeopleSoft.
These Oracle VM Templates, based on Oracle Enterprise Linux, provide pre-installed and pre-configured enterprise software images that help eliminate the need to install new software from scratch, offering customers a time-saving approach to deploying a fully configured software stack.
Oracle VM Templates for the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.1 automate the installation and configuration of the operating system, as well as the Oracle E-Business Suite. Customers can also easily create their own templates for their configuration and deploy them onto a virtualized environment.
Oracle VM Templates for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provide a method to rapidly and predictably deploy JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 Update and Tools 9.98 Update 2. The combination of a preconfigured environment and Oracle Business Accelerators ? Oracle?s powerful, easy-to-use rapid implementation solutions ? contribute to significantly lowering the total cost of ownership.
Oracle VM Templates for Oracle?s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) 9.1 and Oracle?s PeopleTools 8.50 enable customers to deploy development, testing, training and demo environments quickly and efficiently, as well as create custom templates for these environments.
Oracle VM Templates Accelerate and Simplify Application Deployment
By providing an alternative to traditional installation processes, Oracle VM Templates allow customers to deploy full-functioning application environments in a fraction of the time as opposed to installing and configuring from scratch. New physical, virtual and private cloud environments can be quickly and inexpensively provisioned.
Oracle VM Templates, in conjunction with Oracle VM, also provide organizations access to a complete, integrated and open software stack. In addition, customers benefit from using enterprise-class server virtualization with optimized resource utilization, enabling consolidation and cost and energy savings.
