APCOA with strong growth in turnover and earnings in the first half of 2012
(IINews) - Stuttgart, September 4th, 2012 - APCOA Group, Europe"s leading provider of parking management solutions, successfully continues on its path of growth. On the background of a strong portfolio of contracts APCOA boosted its adjusted revenue, including one-off effects (termination and re-negotiations of management contracts) to EUR 340.1 million, or a plus of 3.4 % in the first half of 2012.
Despite challenging market environments in all of its thirteen European markets, APCOA succeeded in growing its earnings (EBITDA) to EUR 26.8 million, up 13.7 % compared to last year"s figures (EUR 23.6 million). EBIT earnings faired even better, reaching 16.8 %.
The figures reflect strong rebound and further growth in APCOA"s airport and city parking business segments. Successful re-negotiations of key contracts and a further improved cost control contributed to the positive results in the business year" first half, which saw the openings of 509 more APCOA sites (232 in the first, 277 in the second quarter of 2012).
