Munich-based startup LG Fashion Labs offers free DPP audits to EU fashion brands

(IINews) - Munich, April 13, 2026– The Munich-based startup LG Fashion Labs (LGFL) is now offering EU fashion brands a free DPP readiness audit. The goal is to help companies prepare for the requirements of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) at an early stage.
The audit is based on the Trace4Value DPP Data Protocol v2, which defines approximately 125 data fields across multiple compliance domains and is currently considered one of the most comprehensive assessment frameworks in the textile sector.
With the launch of the EU DPP Registry in July 2026 and the expected Delegated Act for textiles in late 2026 or early 2027, mandatory implementation for fashion brands is drawing nearer. At the same time, according to LGFL, there is a structural discrepancy between perceived and actual preparedness:
“Many brands assume that their existing traceability solutions already make them DPP-ready. In practice, however, these systems often cover only 20 to 30 percent of the required data,” says Lior Gabriel, founder of LG Fashion Labs.
In particular, product-related data such as fiber-level material composition, chemical compliance, reparability, and end-of-life information is often not recorded in a structured manner.
The audit offered includes a comprehensive gap analysis across nine compliance domains and is conducted for a collection of up to 15 styles. It is based on existing brand documents such as tech packs and bills of materials (BOMs). The evaluation is conducted without IT integration, and is completed within five business days.
LG Fashion Labs is a member of the Fashion Council Germany and the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform.

Unternehmensinformation / Kurzprofil:
LG Fashion Labs (LGFL), based in Munich, is developing a production orchestration system for European fashion brands in the growth segment. The platform addresses two interrelated challenges facing the industry: compliance with upcoming requirements for the Digital Product Passport (DPP) under the EU Ecodesign Regulation for Sustainable Products (ESPR), and the operational management of fragmented production and supply chain processes.
At the core of the platform is a structured data model that maps product information, material composition, manufacturing steps, and supporting documents across the entire value chain. This enables DPP-relevant data points to be systematically captured and made available for reporting purposes.
LGFL was founded by Lior Gabriel.
